Stand up to Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza
We need to stand together against US President Trump. He has been crystal clear since returning to the White House that there is no place for Palestinians in the future of Gaza, and he has been threatening to take over the territory and permanently expel the population. Meanwhile, he is hellbent on empowering Netanyahu and his cronies to sabotage the ceasefire deal and steal the entirety of the West Bank.
We can’t afford to stand by and let Canada be bullied by Trump into meekly accepting his dangerous plan for ethnically cleansing Gaza, nor his assault on the Canadian economy. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Trump is a bully who thinks stealing other people’s land is justified.
Canada’s leaders must stand up to Trump’s annexationist and genocidal agenda in Palestine, just as they would oppose it closer to home.
CJPME condemns Israeli requests for Canada to participate in ethnic cleansing of Gaza
Montreal, February 6, 2025 – Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) is outraged and alarmed to learn that Israel is pressuring Canada to participate in its plans to force Palestinians out of Gaza, only days after US President Trump announced his intention to permanently expel the population. CJPME insists that any “migration” in this context cannot be considered voluntary but amounts to ethnic cleansing. CJPME urges Prime Minister Trudeau to publicly reject and condemn Israel’s attempts to enlist Canada in its genocidal scheme, and to impose sanctions on any Israeli or US officials contributing or conspiring to depopulate Gaza.
Canada must oppose Trump plan for ethnic cleansing of Gaza: CJPME
Montreal, February 5, 2025 – Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) urges the Canadian government to condemn in the strongest terms US President Trump’s plans to ethnically cleanse the Palestinian people from Gaza. Yesterday, Trump declared that there is no future for Palestinians in Gaza and that the US will “take over” the illegally occupied territory after permanently expelling the population. CJPME argues that this is a clear expression of genocidal intent, and insists that Canada is obliged to consider all means necessary — including sanctions — to protect the people of Gaza from annihilation.
Help us fix the Gaza Visa Program: Use our automated tool to call your MP!
Over a thousand Palestinians fleeing Gaza to Canada are trapped in Egypt, while hundreds of thousands remain starving under constant Israeli bombardment. As Israel continues its genocidal campaign in Gaza, Immigration Minister Miller must immediately fix the failing Gaza Visa program, and Foreign Affairs Minister Joly must force Israel to let Palestinian family members out of Gaza.
Many of you have emailed politicians, but now we are asking you to phone them and ask them to take decisive action for immediate family reunification!
Use our NEW CALL TOOL BELOW to get connected via phone to your local MP and ministers and have talking points on screen that you can explain to them.
Tips for using our tool:
You don’t need to be an expert to call your MP and Ministers. You just need to be respectful and speak from the heart. Remember your MP and Ministers might not be available. You might speak to an assistant or have to leave a message. Just keep it short and sweet. Remember to leave your name and number and let them know you are a constituent of a specific riding. When you use this tool, it is best to use two devices, a computer and a phone. It is best to enter your information on a computer and have a phone handy for the call.
This is how it works:
- The tool will call your phone;
- Once you hit submit you will then see suggested talking points on a new screen;
- Our tool will automatically call your phone and connect you to your MP’s office, followed by Ministers Joly and Miller’s offices, once you click submit. If you only want to speak to your local MP, you can hang up after the first call.
- However, if you want to also try Ministers Miller and Joly, stay on the phone after each call to be connected to the next one. Do not hang up; You can also press * to move to the next call;
- You will hear the ringing once it connects, and you will likely get either voicemail, or an office staffer. If you get an office staffer, you can ask to speak to the MP or the minister. If the MP or Minister is available, state your concerns to them. If they’re unavailable, state your concerns to the staffer. If you go to voicemail, take 30 seconds to leave your concerns on voicemail;
- Remember that suggested talking points will be displayed on a screen during the call;
- Keep in mind that the ministers' voicemail might be full. If that happens, just let the call disconnect, or press * to skip to the next call. You can also try reaching out to them again later;
- If you have any specific feedback after the phone call, please email us at [email protected], and we’ll get back to you.
If you do not have a Canadian address, the tool will default to calling Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's office.

ICJ Advisory Opinion on Israel: w/ Michael Lynk

“If Toronto were Gaza”: Infographic highlights absurd injustice of Gaza evacuation orders
Montreal, December 15, 2023 - As of December 11, 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza has displaced almost 1.9 million Palestinians, constituting nearly 85% of Gaza’s population. Israel has ordered Palestinians across the territory to ‘evacuate’ their homes, a demand that the UN has said is impossible to carry out. Even worse, Israel has continued to bomb the supposedly ‘safe’ areas it has ordered Palestinians to flee to, underlining the fact that nowhere is safe in Gaza.
To help Canadians better understand the scale and implications of Israel’s evacuation orders, CJPME has issued the below infographic comparing Gaza to Toronto. With this context, it is clear to see that Israel’s orders are unfair, absurd, and impossible.
Read moreTruce must lead to full ceasefire: CJPME
Montreal, November 21, 2023 — Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) welcomes the temporary Qatar-mediated truce announced between Israel and Hamas, and urges the Canadian government to leverage this momentum to push for a permanent ceasefire. The multi-day truce deal will provide temporary relief in the fighting, an increase in humanitarian aid, and secure the release of some Palestinian prisoners and Israeli hostages. The deal was approved by the Israeli cabinet and is expected to come into effect on Thursday. CJPME warns that this truce must not be allowed to end with the resumption of Israel’s indiscriminate bombardment and siege of Gaza, but must lead to a complete cessation of hostilities and an end to the occupation and siege – a full ceasefire.
With more than 10,000 killed in Gaza, CJPME calls on Trudeau to support an immediate ceasefire
Montreal, November 08, 2023 — Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) sent a formal letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau this week urging him to join the international community in calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Canada has so far opposed calls for a ceasefire and appears to support Israel’s indefinite military escalation with the goal of “eliminating” Hamas. However, with more than 10,000 Palestinians killed in Israel’s offensive, and the siege on food, water, and electricity creating a catastrophic humanitarian toll, CJPME is urging Trudeau to acknowledge that its failed approach is only perpetuating further human suffering.
