Libby Davies, Palestine on Parliament Hill

In advance of the imminent federal election, CJPME is pleased to invite you to hear former NDP Deputy-Leader Libby Davies for a talk entitled, “Palestine on the Hill: A Conversation with Libby Davies.”  The event is free, but an RSVP is required to attend – reserve your spot below.

During the event, Ms. Davies will discuss the dynamics in Parliament around Palestine, and how best to keep Palestinian human rights on the agenda in a busy and divided Parliament.  Ms. Davies herself was a strong voice for social justice – especially Palestinian human rights – during her tenure in Parliament.  Working with other NDP MPs, Davies repeatedly brought greater attention to the plight of the Palestinians, and the need for Canada to more actively support Palestinian human rights.
