CJPME’s Media Accountability Project (MAP) works to ensure fair and accurate coverage of Middle East issues in Canadian media. There are two ways to get involved:
-
- MAP Responders – These volunteers receive our email alerts about media coverage that needs a response. When an alert goes out, they can choose to take action by sending emails or submitting comments to media outlets. This role is flexible and open to anyone who wants to help hold media accountable.
- MAP Writers – These volunteers take a more active role in CJPME’s media advocacy. They commit to joining a 30-minute weekly scrum (Tuesdays at 10:30 AM EST) where they are assigned letters to write or edit in response to media coverage. This role is ideal for individuals who want to engage more deeply in media advocacy and contribute regularly.
