Montreal, December 28, 2024 - The CJPME Board thanks Thomas Woodley for his long-standing leadership, dedication, and tireless work over the past 20 years. We are grateful for the foundational work of Tom and Grace Batchoun to create and grow CJPME into the important national voice it is today, for peace and justice in the Middle East.
The board is pleased to announce that the current CJPME Vice President Michael Bueckert, a trusted senior staff member since June 2020, has been named as interim President for both CJPME and the CJPME Foundation. With Michael’s experience, knowledge, and leadership, we will continue the critically important work of these organizations at a time when they are needed the most.
Our focus remains on doing everything we can to halt the horrific genocide, and we continue to believe that CJPME’s mission and mandate enables Canadians of all backgrounds to promote justice, development and peace in the Middle East and here at home in Canada.
None of CJPME’s work would be possible without the generosity and support of so many people and communities across Canada, along with the dedicated staff of CJPME who remain deeply committed to the work ahead of us.
