The United States and Israel have launched an illegal attack on Iran that has killed over 780 Iranians in the first days and sparked a devastating regional war. The United Nations has condemned the attack for violating the UN Charter and undermining international peace and security.

The regime change operation, led by war criminals Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, is a dangerous and unlawful act of aggression that has sabotaged negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program.

Despite the blatant illegality of this war, however, Prime Minister Carney expressed unconditional support for the US-Israeli attacks, saying that “Canada supports the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security.”

As Trump and Netanyahu drag the region into war, Canada is shamefully cheering them on. Canada should be a voice for de-escalation, not a booster for US-Israeli aggression.
