With a new Parliament in place, the political landscape has shifted — and with it, the possibilities for our movement.

More than 10% of the Liberal caucus signed the Vote Palestine pledge, and the Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group now includes 42 members

We’re no longer stuck in the dynamics of the last Parliament — but new challenges are already emerging. This webinar is a space to take stock, strategize, and prepare for the work ahead.

Our discussion will feature Alex Paterson, CJPME’s Director of Parliamentary Affairs, in conversation with other political and civil society voices — including Rachel Small, Canada Organizer with World BEYOND War, and Dania Majid, President of the Arab Canadian Lawyers Association. Together, they’ll examine:

  • What are our goals for this Parliament?

  • Who are our allies — and what’s changed since the last Parliament?

  • How do we engage the Bloc Quebecois?

  • How do we advance the Vote Palestine demands and encourage the Canada-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group to take action?

  • What are the opportunities and challenges around statehood, an arms embargo, imposing sanctions, and anti-Palestinian racism?

  • How do we leverage shifting global dynamics — including tense relations with the US and Canada’s growing ties with Europe?

The event will include a moderated discussion followed by an open Q&A with participants.

Whether you’re new to CJPME or a long-time supporter, this is a crucial chance to get aligned on priorities, strategy, and action.
